Implementation of the GDR in legislation

The results of the NDR NDL EDEM, performed under the scientific supervision of prof. Mokina V.B., regarding the completed hydrographic and water management zoning of Ukraine were implemented in legislative acts, which allowed Ukraine to report on fulfillment of certain conditions of the Association Agreement of Ukraine with the EU (see report on this on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (page 93)).

Legislative acts of Ukraine, for the writing of which the results of scientific research by scientists of the SAIT department, performed on the order of the State Agency of Water Resources of Ukraine, were used

9 river basin districts are being established in Ukraine:
– Dnipro river basin area;
– Dniester river basin area;
– the area of the Danube river basin;
- the region of the South Bug River basin
– the area of the Don River basin;
– the area of the Vistula river basin;
- Crimean river basin area;
– the area of the Black Sea river basin;
- the region of the Azov river basin.

1. Law of Ukraine No. 1641-VIII, dated 04.10.2016 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding the Implementation of Integrated Approaches to Water Resources Management According to the Basin Principle".

2. Order of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine dated January 26, 2017 No. 25 "On the allocation of sub-basins and water management areas within the established areas of river basins".

3. Order of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine dated January 26, 2017 No. 26 "On Approval of the Procedure for Developing Water Management Balances".

4. Order of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine dated 03.03.2017 No. 103 "On approval of the boundaries of river basin districts, sub-basins and water management areas". 

Also, the head of the department Vitaly Mokin as a member of the Scientific and Technical Council under the State Agency of Water Resources of Ukraine since 2009 has been actively involved in the improvement of all legislative acts of Ukraine in the field of water resources management and water protection, which are within the competence of this agency.
