Advanced training and training of teachers

The ZVO has developed and approved the Regulation "On improving the qualifications of the NPP of the VNTU (https://vntu.edu.ua/uploads/2020/polmiz.pdf), the purpose of which is to improve the professional training of teachers by improving previously acquired or acquiring new competencies, etc.

VNTU has educational programs for professional development (advanced training) of VNTU teachers, which allow teachers to undergo free training on educational topics. For example, in 2021, Associate Professor of the SAIT Department Varchuk I.V. underwent advanced training "Development of professional and pedagogical competence of teachers. Module III. Tools for the formation of 4K competence in students", 1 credit. In 2022, Associate Professor Zhukov S.O. underwent advanced training Development of professional and pedagogical qualifications of teachers: "Use of innovative educational technologies in teaching professional disciplines for students of the specialties "Systems Analysis" and "Information Systems and Technologies" in blended learning", 1 credit, and senior lecturer Prysyazhnyuk V.V. - "Use of cloud technologies in the educational process", 4 credits. In 2023, Associate Professor of the SAIT Department Zhukov S.O. passed advanced training "Development of professional and pedagogical qualifications of teachers. Module 1. Pedagogical communication in a modern educational environment", 2 credits. Also in 2023, senior lecturer of the SAIT department Prysyazhnyuk V.V. and associate professor of the SAIT department Zhukov S.O. passed advanced training "Development of professional and pedagogical qualifications of teachers. Module 3. Tools for forming 4K competencies in students", 2 credits. In 2025, assistant professor of the department Shtelmakh I.M. passed advanced training "Creation of an electronic information educational and scientific environment for blended and distance learning", 4 credits.

Thanks to the contract between VNTU and Coursera, teachers and students can improve their qualifications in the courses of the world's leading educational programs. For example, professors of the Faculty of Economics promoted her in this way. SAIT Mokin V.B. and Mokin O.B. (https://sait.vntu.edu.ua/uk/kafedra/mizhnarodni-kursy/). In general, Prof. Mokin O.B. has more than 50 online course certificates (https://www.linkedin.com/in/abmokin/), most of them in the fields of intelligent IT and applied system analysis.

V.B. Mokin has completed more than 10 online courses, primarily on Coursera.

At the department, considerable attention is paid to improving qualifications through participation in competitions and in the development of public notebook programs on artificial intelligence in Python (scientific and educational programs) based on the Kaggle platform (USA). In particular, Mokin V.B. became the first data scientist in Ukraine to receive the title of "Kaggle Notebooks Grandmaster" in the nomination of developers of public notebooks and the title of "Kaggle Datasets Master" for the creation of public datasets, and prof. café SAIT Mokin O.B. received a gold medal and the title of Kaggle Competitions Master for winning the deep machine learning and system image analysis competition. Teachers pass on this experience to students, especially graduate students. After V. Mokin, the title of Kaggle Notebooks Grandmaster was awarded to Ya. Isayenkov (ONP 126 PhD) and L. Kulyk (ONP 126 PhD).

Also, NPPs improve their qualifications at foreign universities within the framework of grant programs:

  • Ph.D. Assoc. SAIT Zhukov S.O. (guarantor of OP 124 (bachelor), member of the support group of OP 126 (bachelor), scientific supervisor of MKR 126 (master), scientific supervisor of post-graduate students from ONP 124 PhD) completed an internship (University of Economics in Krakow, Poland, 2019) "New and innovative teaching methods. The system of higher education in Europe", certificate No. 2172/MSAP/2019;
  • chief café SAIT Mokin V.B., Assoc. café E.M. Kryzhanovskyi and Zhukov S.O. and art. vyk. Irritated M.V. in 2022, completed the "Teaching entrepreneurship at university" internship at the University of Tartu from the School of Economics and Business Administration, 3 credits;
  • associate professor of the SAIT Department Varchuk I.V. completed an internship abroad at Lublin University of Technology, Information technology of data analysis and process modeling, in 2021, 4 credits.
  • Associate Professor of the SAIT Department Protsenko D.P. completed an internship at the Electronic and Information Technologies Department, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Faculty of Lublin University of Technology, "Use of new knowledge in the development of technologies in the field of research of image processing, machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, development, research and application of information systems and technologies in the energy system" in 2021, 6 credits;
  • associate professor of the SAIT Department Kozachko O.M. graduated from EQVELTIM LLC in 2024, 3 credits.
  • Assistant Professor of the Department Shmundyak D.O. completed an internship abroad at the University of Bialystok, Faculty of Education, Poland, "Teaching and research in a contemporary university: trends, challenges and future direction", in 2024, 6 credits;
  • Assoc. Prof. Kryzhanovsky E.M., Assoc. Prof. Zhukov S.O., and Assoc. Prof. Voitsekhovska O.O. completed an internship abroad (Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Germany) “Digital Future: Blended Learning”, in 2024, 6 credits;
  • Associate Professor of the Department Goryachev G.V. in 2024 completed an internship abroad "Fundraising and organization of project activities in educational establishments: European experience" at Jagiellonian University, Poland, 6 credits;
  • Head of the Department of SAIT Mokin V.B. completed an internship abroad, Scaling Ukrainian Business in the Context of War and Post-War Reconstruction (USA), in 2025, 0.05 credits;
  • Associate Professor of the Department of Economics Voitsekhovska O.O. and Associate Professor of SAIT Zhukov S.O. in 2025 completed an internship abroad at the University of Pittsburgh, USA, “US – Ukraine Cooperation for a Sustainable Future”, 1 credit;
  • Head of the Department, Prof. Mokin V.B., Assoc. Prof. Zhukov S.O., Assoc. Prof. Kryzhanovsky E.M., Assoc. Prof. Voitsekhovska O.O., Assoc. Prof. Varchuk I.V., Senior Lecturer Prysyazhnyuk V.V. completed internships: “Magneto-rheological Materials and Their Potential Applications”, “Perovskite solar cells: progress and advancements”, “Generative Artificial Intelligence” at Lanzhou University of Technology, China, in 2025, 6 credits.

NPP periodically undergo internships in leading IT companies. For example, Assoc. Prof. Zhukov S.O., Assoc. Prof. Kryzhanovsky E.M., and Assistant Voitsekhovska O.O. in 2021 underwent an internship at Davintu Ukraine LLC, 3 credits. Associate Professor of the SAIT Department Kozachko O.M. underwent an internship at IKVELTIM LLC in 2024, 3 credits.

Professional development is regularly carried out through participation in scientific conferences, through examination of specialized articles (reviewers are the majority of associate professors of the department), including in international Scopus editions (Mokin V.B. and Mokin O.B.).

Mokin O.B. during 2016-2017 he was the chairman of the Ukrainian youth section of the world's largest technical professional organization Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) ("Chair of IEEE Ukraine Section Young Professionals Affinity Group").

Mokin V.B. during 2007-2023, he was an expert of UN (UNEP, UNDP), EU, UNESCO, GEF, etc. projects.

Also, all teachers have at least 1 educational certificate in “Diya.Education”. Thus, in 2023, the teachers of the department completed a number of online courses on the educational portal Diya.Education, Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, in particular: Assoc. Prof. Kozachko O.M. completed the online course “QA - Tester”, 0.1 credit; Prof. Mokin V.B., Prof. Mokin B.I., Prof. Mokin O.B. and senior lecturer Dratovany M.V. completed the online course “ChatGPT to increase your own efficiency” 0.1 credit; Assoc. Prof. Kryzhanovsky E.M. completed the online course “Data Analyst. SQL and Puwer BI” 0.1 credit; Prof. Mokin V.B., Assoc. Prof. Goryachev G.V. and senior lecturer Voitsekhovska O.O. completed the online course “Open Data for Business”, 0.2 credit; Assoc. Zhukov S.O. and senior lecturer Dratovany M.V. completed the online courses “Data Analyst. Introduction to Excel”, 0.1 credits and “Programming for Beginners” 0.2 credits; 0.1 credits; senior lecturer Voitsekhovska O.O. and associate professor Protsenko D.P. completed the online course “Creation and Development of IT Products”, 0.2 credits; senior lecturer Dratovany M.V. completed the online courses: “Start a Startup”, 0.1 credits, “Cryptoliteracy and Blockchain. Module 1”, 0.6 credits, “Cryptoliteracy and Blockchain. Module 2”, 0.6 credits. In 2024, assistant professor of the department Shtelmakh I.M. completed the online course "Creation and Development of IT Products" on the educational portal Diya.Osvita, Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, 0.2 credits.

Improving the pedagogical skills of teachers

VNTU stimulates the development of teaching skills, including material and professional incentives:

  • VNTU annually hosts a competition for pedagogical skills based on the regulations (https://vntu.edu.ua/uploads/2020/pedm.pdf), a competition for the best educational literature (https://docs.vntu.edu.ua/card. php?lang=en&id=2048), (handbook of SAIT department professors Mokina B.I., Mokina V.B. and Mokina O.B. "Functional analysis adapted to applied problems in the field of information technologies" (2020) won the prize : https://iq.vntu.edu.ua/repository/getfile.php/5581.pdf);
  • an annual seminar for improving pedagogic skills of VNTU is held, the results of which are confirmed by the order of the ZVO and teachers receive appropriate certificates;
  • teachers are sent for internships in other higher education institutions of Ukraine and abroad (see above).
