Working meeting with the management of the Vinnytsia Laboratory of Ecto- and Endoprosthetics and the Kyiv company “3D METAL TECH”

On February 11, 2022, a working meeting was held between professors, heads of the departments of SAIT FIITA Vitaliy Mokin and OMTMIG FMT Oleksandr Grushko of Vinnytsia National Technical University with the head of the Vinnytsia Laboratory of Ecto- and Endoprosthetics, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of Vinnytsia National Medical University named after M.I. Pirogov Oleksiy Likhitsky, and Candidate of Technical Sciences, Director of the company "3D METAL TECH" Yaroslav Holovenko (Kyiv, the meeting was online) within the framework of the recently signed tripartite cooperation agreement. The purpose of the meeting was to agree on organizational issues for conducting a training on the use of modern information technologies, 3D modeling for prosthetics tasks using individualized medical products using the method of metal 3D printing from titanium alloy, manufactured in accordance with the quality management system according to the international standard ISO 13485. The training is planned to be held offline in February of this year at the Laboratory Center of VNTU "BIOART". The main speaker will be the director of the company "3D METAL TECH" Yaroslav Golovenko, who will talk about more than 100 endoprostheses successfully manufactured using their technology in 2021, individualized to the anatomical features of the patient. He will come specially from Kyiv to share his experience and answer all the questions of the training participants. The head of the Vinnytsia laboratory of ecto- and endoprosthesis Oleksiy Likhitskyy will share his experience and talk about the format of further cooperation. Also, reports by leading scientists and teachers of VNTU in the field of biomedical engineering, strength of materials, engineering graphics, systems analysis, and information technology are planned.
It is planned to hold such trainings regularly every month. Surgeons and other doctors who are ready to perform operations using medical titanium prostheses according to European standards using modern information technologies will be invited to the trainings. Also, students and postgraduates of VNTU and VNMU named after M.I. Pirogov will be invited to use these technologies in their thesis design and during future employment. The head of the SAIT department, Vitaly Mokin, will provide information support for these trainings on the VNTU website.
During the meeting, the heads of the Vinnytsia laboratory of ecto- and endoprosthetics demonstrated their equipment and production facilities. Together with the professors, they discussed the details of further cooperation, primarily with the participation of students and postgraduates of VNTU and VNMU named after M.I. Pirogov of various specialties
