The cycle of open lectures by leading IT specialists has come to an end

Today, April 12, 2023, on the Day of the Faculty of Intelligent Information Technologies and Automation of VNTU, the traditional Cycle of open lectures by leading IT specialists of organizations where many graduates of our faculty work:
– "Challenges of Industry 4.0 and how to find your first investor?",
Andriy Lukhverchyk – Deputy Technical Director of the IT company INNOVINPROM;
- "Business analytics: what do you need to know and be able to do?", Volodymyr Romanenko - director of the IT department of the Vinnytsia City Council;
- "Programming languages and technologies: modern level and future", Volodymyr Storchak - a leading specialist in the field of AI, Data Science and programming technologies, Team Leader of the company "Spilna Sprava", PhD.
About 200 higher education applicants from the faculty participated in the bachelor, master and postgraduate studies of all educational programs of specialties 122, 124, 126 and 174, their teachers from the departments of SAIT, AIIT, KS and KSU FIITA VNTU, as well as invited guests with whom certain cooperation is conducted . Invitations were sent personally, as it was only a faculty event.
There were very interesting reports on the current state and development of Industry 4.0, the Internet of Things, programming languages, and an original example of the formalization of a task on the subject of urban management using the methodology of system analysis and the use of business analytics approaches and tools was given. They discussed what opportunities the use of artificial intelligence technologies opens up, including ChatGPT. Attention was paid to how to find your first funding for a startup, how to use the possibilities of EU grant aid, how to cooperate with IT companies. The lecturer from INNOVINPROM voiced his successful experience in this field.
They discussed the results of successful long-term cooperation between the lecturers' organizations and the departments of the IITA Faculty and directions of possible cooperation in the future. The lecturers answered many different questions of the listeners. The lecturers also gave advice to students on what to focus on in order to increase their chances of finding a good job and successfully interviewing for it:
- good command of the English language;
- develop your hard skills, that is, learn programming languages well (it was noted that it is enough to know well at least one programming language and the basics of algorithmization, since different companies use different languages, and knowing one makes it easier to master others), intelligent and cloud technologies, etc. ;
– develop your soft-skills, and this is often more important than hard-skills – you should learn teamwork with other students, work with teachers in various projects, including training, master communication skills with experts in the subject area, etc.;
- participate in hackathons, learn various courses, be able to write a good resume, etc.
In May, it is planned to hold a number of open lectures. There are already a number of preliminary agreements.
