Today, the Department of System Analysis, Computer Monitoring and Engineering Graphics of the Faculty of Computer Systems and Automation of VNTU held the last defense of master's qualification theses in specialty 122 - "Computer Science and Information Technologies". Next year, the defense will be in specialty 126 - "Information Systems and Technologies". The works were devoted to the issues of creating analytical computer systems and developing information technologies for data processing in the field of ecological and economic simulation modeling and decision-making, medical diagnostics, environmental monitoring, environmental management, and accounting of spatial objects of municipal property.
In all works, analytical web systems were created, which were actually implemented in the work of government systems (individual program elements and algorithms) of Ukraine, in the Vinnytsia City Council, and in the Vinnytsia National Technical University.
Students demonstrated the work of the created systems on real data. One of the students (Bogdan Gordienko, scientific supervisor – Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Oleksiy Kozachko, consultant – Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Heorhiy Goryachev) developed applications for iOS and Android smartphones for monitoring a person’s well-being using mobile devices along with recording weather data for their further comprehensive analysis. The head of the Department of Environmental and Social Development, Ph.D., Director of GPS Transport Control LLC Andriy Podzharenko wanted to check the functionality of the application created by the student on himself. The student immediately put one of the medical bracelets on him and immediately demonstrated the development in action.
Since last year, the system created by Maksym Kokhansky (scientific supervisor - Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Myroslav Botsula) for accumulating and searching links to open data sets http://isodata.mmss.vntu.edu.ua/ has been actively used in the educational process. Based on the results of the study, an article was published in a scientific professional publication (https://visnyk.vntu.edu.ua/index…/visnyk/article/view/2013). Also, since last year, the computer program “Ecological and Economic Management of the Region” created by Oleksandr Krylyk (scientific supervisor - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of SAKMIG Vitaliy Mokin) has been used in the educational process (a simulation system in the form of a computer game of the “Strategy” type, which allows you to configure your mathematical models of processes in the region, the conventional designations of spatial objects to which they are attached, set various settings and even evaluate users (for example, students) on a 5-point system, depending on the points scored and accrued fines). A certificate of copyright registration for the work has been received for the program. The work of the same student last year took a prize in the 2nd round of the All-Ukrainian competition of scientific papers in the field of “Informatics, Computing and Automation”.
The students were the performers of scientific research works of VNTU (for a fee). All works have scientific novelty. All students have scientific publications. Four of them plan to continue their studies in postgraduate studies of the SAKMIG department in specialties 126 and 124 - "Systems Analysis".
Soon, in February, the recruitment of new students for the master's degree in specialty 126 of the SAKMIG department will begin based on a bachelor's degree in correspondence studies.
