The first lecture of the course "Data Analysis Technologies: Applied Technologies of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning" of the Preparatory IT Department of VNTU at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering of VNTU
On June 12, 2019, Prof. Mokin V.B. gave the first lecture for students of Vinnytsia schools on the course "Data Analysis Technologies: Applied Technologies of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning" of the Preparatory IT Department of VNTU at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering of VNTU. About 20 students from different schools and one computer science teacher participated in the lesson.
The course program (https://drive.google.com/open…) involves mastering Python, its libraries, and their application to solve problems using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
It is planned to form teams of students to submit solutions based on the Kaggle (Google) platform for competitions in artificial intelligence, systems analysis, and prediction, taking into account my experience (http://mmss.vntu.edu.ua/…/392-bilia-100-komand-i-bilia…).
The first lecture was introductory, an overview of artificial intelligence technologies, the capabilities of Python and its libraries. Direct training will begin at the second session on June 18 at 8:00 AM in room 7212 (practical classes will be held at the same time at the VNTU computer center in room 7204 from 9:00 AM).
You can still sign up for the course (write to me on FB messenger) in the TAD1-19p group. Registration for the summer course will end on June 18. Registration for the fall course, which starts on October 1, 2019 (in the TAD2-19p group), will begin on June 19.
The training is free, but involves a significant amount of independent work, as is customary in online courses at leading US educational institutions.
The course is designed for students in grades 10-11, but if there are free places (so far, 20 students have been registered in the TAD1-19p group, but there are still 4 places vacant), students in grades 8-9 who are winners of computer science or mathematics olympiads, at least at the school level, or upon recommendation of school management or computer science or mathematics teachers at schools, may also enroll.
